Customers rave about the freshness and quality of the meat. Julie Marquez highlights the huarache con pollo as “really good” and packed with flavor, though she suggests opting out of the large onion chunks for a more nuanced bite next time. Olaf Kilthau’s enthusiasm is infectious as he declares the ribs and bone marrow plate “YES!” in every sense, praising the dry rub ribs for their pure, unadulterated flavor. Michael Ammann concurs that these are the best ribs around, noting that while the sides like rice and macaroni salad might be simple, the meat itself is absolutely worth the visit.
Leo Vaaj points out the freshness and tenderness of their asada tacos, underscored by perfectly balanced salsas that add dimension without overpowering the natural flavors of the meat. His recommendation carries weight, especially knowing this beloved spot has caught the attention of renowned food explorer Mark Wiens. For late-night cravings, fans like TeeTee Rod can’t resist the quesabirria, praising its flavorful fillings and melty cheese—comfort food done right.

First time here and we will be back. I had the huarache con pollo. The chicken was really good, Super tasty. My feedback on this is that the onion is chopped in BIG pieces so it’s not a subtle onion flavor. I would order without onions next time. Salsas are green or red and the flavors were good. My husband had a taco “Campechana” which we learned is a combination of meats. He said it was good. The horchata has mediocre so we wouldn’t be ordering that in the future. That was the only agua they offered. It would be great if there were more to choose from. Will come back for the bar b q next time
Don Pollon! The ribs...YES! The big bone with bone marrow...YES! You need to take a trip to Los Angeles, if for nothing else but to eat at Don Pollon! We had the ribs with dry rub and the adobo and peanut success on the side. I preferred the ribs without any side sauce. The bone marrow plate is impressive. You can get about 5 tacos per plate so I would order one person if that's the only thing you're choosing. I would stick with a plate of 3 ribs and a bone marrow plate for 2 people. We'll be back!
The best ribs I had in last time. Super delicious. Rice and Macaroni could be much better but you anyway not going for the rice to this place.
Tacos were bomb. I usually get regular Asada Tacos with onions and cilantro. This usually tells me how good a place is. The meat was fresh, tender, and flavorful. The red hot sauce was a good spice and their green sauce was flavorful. The only bad thing was that they are on a pretty busy road. A place visited by Mark Wiens and I got to say, I highly recommend this place.
I can’t say no to good quesabirria. Very tasty, flavorful meat with just the right amount of cheese. It's perfect for those late night cravings.
